Take a look at this adorable beaded bag I found in a local vintage shop.

I WANT!!!

Little Mermaid

I have a weakness.
And that weakness is for mermaid styled dresses
I just love how they fit a woman's curves and then BAM! fluff =)
And I know I'm kinda thinkin' wayyy ahead here
But. . . I think I will definitely get a mermaid styled dress for my wedding
I'm not the kind of girl who pictured her wedding since she was younger

But I think all those episodes of Say Yes To The Dress got me haha

But my wedding will be somewhere wayyy down the timeline of my life

I still have yet to meet my Prince Charming =)

Lane Bryant Sale!!

Lane Bryant is having a sale on like everything! haha
I went in there on Saturday and I was like a kid in a candy shop
I bought a dress & 2 tops
O & two marvelous bras
PSA: Lane Bryant has GREAT bras!

I didn't buy much but I LOVE these items

The 1st is my absolute fav
It's a striped face print muscle tank
I bought it oversized so how it loooks on
the model is definitely not how it looks on me =)

















Next is this ruffle-top tube dress
it fits great
& it's soo flow-wy ; )



















Last is this Dolman sleeve flower screen top
I love this tan color on my skin
I have yet to wear these items
But when I do... I'll take pics & post them

Key To My Heart

So my birthday was on June 11th.

I went out on my bday

& I of coarse had to wear my fav. necklace ♥

My outfit was simple:

Off the shoulder shirt & distressed gray shorts

But the KEY thing here is the necklace (pun intended)

If you can't see it's a heart with a key hole and a key

I loved these looks!
The first look is from Elizabeth Cook.
She is a singer-songwriter from Nashville
and described her look as "Like a Virgin meets Loretta Lynn."
She is wearing a Manuel jacket, Frederick's of Hollywood lace dress from Diamond Star Halo Vintage, and belt from Southern Thrift Store, all in Nashville







The next look is from Satsuki Mitchell
She is a film producer from New York City
When asked to describe her style she replied "I can't describe it."
She is wearing a Roberta Freymann dress and AllSaints boots.








This last look is from Christina Dunham.
She is a waitress from Philadelphia.
She described her style as "Comfortable, funky, and urban."
She is wearing a top and sunglasses from Urban Outfitters.

African Chic

I love seeing the fashion of different cultures!
So I've been looking at the African culture
What I love about their fashion is the colors and patterns
The colors are soo bright and beautiful and look Ah-mazing on their dark skin
If we mixed the patterns and colors of their garments with the style of American clothing, I know it would be something great

So I bought a sky blue hoodie from Torrid a couple of months ago and I never really wore it

And I put on today and I loveeeee it!

I love the white embroidery on it!

Wish I would've gotten a full picture of it

But these pics will suffice I guess

"The Prom Chronicles" Part 1

So my prom is on May 21st and I've been looking for the perrrrrfect dress for prom

I think I've found it but I'm not sure

. . .Did I mention that I wanted it to be perrrrrrfect ???

Plus Size Divas

Ok I'm plus size and I know how hard it is to find fashionable clothes

I hate when I go into a store and see all these cute items in the Juniors and Misses sections and then I go over to the Plus Size section and I see all these old timey clothes

It's like where is the section for plus size teens!?

What only adults are plus size?!?

It aggrivates the HECK out of me

But last year I discovered a store called Torrid

This store saved my life! =)

It's for plus size divas

This store is for thicker girls who like to be fashionable and I would recommend it to any plus size teen ... some of their items can be a little pricey but they always have their clearance rack stacked.. and that's my kind of shopping

I love this store!

They only hire plus size girls and all the workers are incredibly sweet

I know how traumatizing shopping can be for a plus size girl but the workers at Torrid make you feel soo confident with the constant compliments they feed you =)

Also .. they change their sizes.. it's regular plus sizes 16 & up but they label the sizes as 1-4 =)

Gotta love it! haha

Not to mention their clothes are incredibly ca-ute!

So are their accessories, shoes and handbags =)
