Missing In Action

M.I.A.
How could I go without blogging about this chick
Talk about original style
This girl has got it
And what I love about her is her whole F you attitude
She doesn't give a crap what anybody thinks about her
She is just herself
And with originality comes followers
People try to imitate her style
But they can't pull it off
Before I die..I'm going to get a piece of her clothing

Keep It Groovy Baby

O how I love the 60's style. Fashion was soo simple yet soo adorable during the 60's
I wish I could get in a time capsule and travel back to the 60's. Back where the bug-eyed glasses,high-waisted shorts, long boots, the polka-dot bathing suit and the bob hairstyle(with a head band) originated. Back when peace was popular
and so were the Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, and The Supremes
Back when they had the the anit-war movement. and back when the rise of feminism occured
and let's not forget that's when the compact Ford Mustang was launced =). Anway back to fashion..I got caught up in the trending topics of the 60's
I was looking up 60's retro fashion the other day . and I came accross

this:(http://www.clothes-junkie.com/) great website!
It gives you a list of famous fashion designers during the 60's, 70's and 80's
http://www.fiftiesweb.com/fashion/sixties-fashion.htm is another website that shows some unforgettable looks from the 60's

Quicky

Ok... this is just a quick blog. They sent Malvin home on Project Runway!!. & the worse part is that they sent him home instead of sending Mitchell home .. Smh .. Come On Project Runway!!
First Mitchell had the see-through outfit. Now he does these crappy shorts
Mess up once..shame on you. . Mess up twice... you suck and need to get sent home!!

Emma Wat-son????

Emma Watson is really developing her own style & i Love it!!! The Swiss magazine Femina ranked Emma Watson #1 in their "10 Women of this Summer" list. She has appeared in Teen Vogue numerous times, MK Boulevard, Burberry even featured her in their Autumn/Winter 09-10 ad campaign. I think people are really starting to see her as a very fashionable girl

Project Runway All Star Challenge

So the Project Runway All Star Challenge came on last night. Right before the new season premiere. I was soo happy to see six of my fav. designers from that show
Mychael, Uli, Santino, Jeffery, Chris and Sweat Pea. And also I loved seeing Tim &
Heidi again. So the designers were given $1,200 and 45 min. to get fabric
They had to create 3 looks, 1 of them being a red carpet look
Ha poor Chris is always sleeping ha. But he does great work
Tim called the designers out for an "addition" fro mthe longue
Look on the screen & BAM! Nicole Kidman. Everyone's jaw dropped
And Chris was soo stunned that when everyone left he was still there looking at the screen
The addition was to make a gown for the premiere of Nine
So the designers started on their work
Santino got a needle stuck in the sewing machine Smh
He is one hyper dude & seemed to be getting on everyone's nerves
While the designers were working Tim came in and said they would being going to STK for dinner ... Korto seemed to be quite upset that he was interrupting her doing her work
At dinner Tim announced that the designers had 5 minutes to gather raw material from the restaurant for the next challenge
However they could use 25% of the fabric that they had gotten already
Poor Uli .. one of her models did not show
Santino had kind of a metallic thing going on
and for the dress he had a white dress with a zebra clutch
Mychael had a blue mini dress with pockets, a white dress, and a long pink dress
Uli was my favorite! The tan well-fitted dress was my favorite
Chris had hooded checkered jackets with pencil skirts and his last dress was =p
Daniel was another one of my favorites ... his black, white, and blue looked soo good together
Unfortunately I had to leave out to the store so I didn't catch the winner
If anyone knows who won. Please let me know!

Wang is soo Fetch

Now to talk about one of my fav. designers .. Alexander Wang!!! (Bio from Teen Vogue) Barely out of college, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang has already taken the industry by storm, and the 2008 CFDA Fashion Awards nominee shows no signs of slowing down. Born and raised in San Francisco, Wang moved to New York City at eighteen to try his hand at designing clothes. After just one year of studying design at Parsons and interning at Teen Vogue, Wang launched an eponymous collection his sophomore year, immediately winning fashion editors over with his selection of perfectly crafted cashmere sweaters. Now, having expanded his line to include a full range of ready-to-wear pieces, from distressed boyfriend jeans and shrunken vests to, of course, covetable cozy cardigans, Wang has continued to make a name for himself with his signature "model-off-duty" style. With a growing cult embracing his street-smart approach to dressing—including catwalk queens (friend Erin Wasson is his in-house muse and runway stylist) and downtown dwellers alike—Wang may just be the coolest kid in Manhattan.
